Directions From The South
There are three main ways to get to the site from the South, the M1, the A1 and the M11. If you come up the M1 then you should follow the directions from the West. Otherwise follow the directions below:
From the M11
- You want to leave at junction 13 which is signposted for Madingley Park and Ride. when you leave the exit ramp you want to turn left and head for Bedford and the A428.
- This bit of map from multimap shows you where you want to be heading. After getting onto the A428 you'll pass a series of roundabouts, keep going. When you hit the new dual carriageway watch out for the signs for the new Cambourne Junction. Take the Cambourne slip road, at the roundabout at the top of the slip road turn right over the A428 and at the next roundabout take the Elsworth exit to the left.
- The launch area is on your left after about a mile and a half and access to it is made via a concrete track about a mile from the village near where the pylons cross the road.
From the A1
- You want to leave the A1 just before St. Neots and head along the A428 towards Cambridge. This bit of map from multimap shows you where you want to be going.
- Keep going until you hit the new dual carriageway just after the Caxton Gibbet Roundabout take the slip road for the new Cambourne junction. At the end of the slip road you will come to a small roundabout take the first exit, effectively doubling back, follow the signs towards Elsworth.
- The launch area is on your left after about a mile and a half and access to it is made via a concrete track about a mile from the village near where the pylons cross the road.
